RELIGIOUS EDUCATION NEWS

Mother’s Day Breakfast

WOW! What an event! What a turn out!

A wonderful celebration was held within our hall to celebrate all of our Mums, Grandmothers and mother-figures on Wednesday 5th May.

A big thank you to Susan Adams and Karen Harley for helping organise the event and making it the big success that it was.

We would also like to THANK SEA VISTA Cafe in Gerringong for helping us at super short notice with our Catering, CAPRI Florist in Balgownie for the beautiful Floral Bouquets and WESTS Illawarra for donating 4 x $25 Coffee Vouchers in our Mothers day Lucky door prize.

Thank you also to our wonderful P&F for organising our gorgeous Baskets for our Mother's Day Raffle.

Pentecost Gathering – Immaculate Conception Parish

The Pentecost Gathering being held on Saturday 29th of May at 10am at St Pius X Hall is shaping up to be an exciting opportunity of renewal and growth for our parish. The parish pastoral council will share the vision and goals for the coming year, and facilitate an opportunity for every parishioner to get to know your own unique, God-given gifts. This in turn can help you discern ways you may wish to get more involved in Parish life now or in the future. You’ll also have a chance to share feedback for future planning, and even to get involved in the work of the Pastoral Council itself – while getting to know your fellow parishioners better. Don’t miss it!

 Activate Fire (Year 6)

On Tuesday 25th May Year 6 students will join with other local catholic schools to participate in a spiritual reflection day being hosted by Good Samaritan Catholic Primary School, Fairy Meadow. This special day is organised in conjunction with the Wollongong Catholic Youth Ministry Team and supports preparation for the sacrament of Confirmation. If you child is in Year 6 could you please be sure to complete the permission slip that has been sent home and return it to school as soon as possible.
