Message from the Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,

It seems a somewhat strange welcome back to Term Three! We are certainly missing engaging with our community and the vibrancy that a school full of energetic and happy children brings.

As we journey into these uncertain times I would like to acknowledge the extraordinary work of staff and parents/carers in ensuring continuity of learning for our students. This is a period of significant adjustment for the school and our families. I am very appreciative of your support and understanding as we work together to keep our community safe.

I am very mindful that many parents are balancing the needs of their children, whilst also working at home. I understand that you may be limited in the support you can provide for your child and therefore some of their work may not get done. I ask that you focus on the core subjects of Religious Education, English and Mathematics and as a minimum children complete the teacher identified tasks for feedback.

Our teachers are ready to answer any questions and their email addresses have been provided to you. As you would appreciate, physical activity and time away from the screen is very important during these times and as parents you have the right to say your child has had enough. I am sure we would all agree conflict or tension generated trying to get children to complete activities is not conducive to good learning. If you need support from the class teacher to keep your child on track, please send an email and they may be able to make a phone call, zoom or message to encourage your child to do more.

Myself and Mr Farrugia are also available if you require any support.
