FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents and Carers,
Thank you to those of you who were able to join us for our Parents and Friends Annual General Meeting for 2022. The Parents and Friends committee highlights the important role that parents/carers play in the education of their children. I would like to thank the outgoing Parents and Friends Executive Team on behalf of our staff and students for their outstanding support and dedication, especially with fundraising. Through the ongoing work of this body, we have been able to provide many resources including robotic resources, astro turf on the playground and the proposed digital sign. We have also been able to collaborate and see the fruition of our wonderful adventure playground.
A special thanks to Danielle Chapman for her leadership as the St Pius X Parents and Friends Association President for the past 2 years, for the two years preeceding this she was Vice President. Danielle has been an inspiration in her role as the Parents and Friends President and I would like to personally thank Danielle for her support, care and amazing collaboration. We are grateful that Danielle has taken on a role in the canteen so we can continue to benefit from her diverse skills.
Congratulations to the following parents and carers who were appointed positions at the Annual General Meeting
President: Kathy Hicks
Vice President: Jane Brejniak
Secretary: Holly Pirie
Treasurer: Martina Mulaj
St Pius X is very fortunate to have a culture of open collaboration with parents and carers and I look forward to continuing this close relationship in 2022, especially through the Parents and Friends Association.
As the first educators of their children, parents contribute significantly to their children’s education and faith-life. Catholic schools recognise the importance of this primary role and encourage strong collaboration, interaction and partnership with parents and carers in a variety of formal and informal ways. Yours Sincerely,
Pauline Chrostowski - Principal
