Dear Parents and Carers,

As Semester One, comes to an end, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your partnership with St Pius X Unanderra.  The importance of genuine relationships between home and school ensures optimal learning and faith development for our students.

I was reminded of this unique relationship during the week when two students “popped in” to chat to me about an issue of concern. How wonderful that they felt the trust and confidence to be able to do this. I am also thankful to you as parents, for discussing openly with staff, not only your positive feedback but also any concerns that you have and in the words of Pope Francis this ensures that:

“ a school becomes a place of dialogue and peaceful encounter, promoting attitudes of respect, listening, friendship and a spirit of partnership” Pope Francis 2013

My hope is that you are able to spend some quality time as a family over the student vacation period. I look forward to welcoming the children back on Monday 18^th July.
