Dear Parents and Carers,

Our Annual Athletics Carnival at Beaton Park Sporting Complex was certainly an example of the wonderful community spirit we have at St Pius X. It is so affirming to witness and hear the sense of belonging that parents, students and staff experience within our community.

I would also like to take this opportunity to acknowledge Mrs Kylie Hertsch who so capably led the day. Also, to the many parent helpers assisting on the track, field and at the BBQ. The gift of your time was greatly appreciated and the children loved the "Sausage Sizzle Station!”

Recently, parents, staff and children were invited to take part in a survey known as “Tell Them From Me”. This survey is pivotal in gaining a deeper insight into the school community and giving everyone a voice in setting the school direction.

The data was overwhelmingly positive and extremely affirming  of:

• The opportunities given for all families to connect with the Catholic faith
• Our shared Vision that is known and lived in our daily interactions and practices
• Clear and concise communication
• Positive relationships with staff, parents and students.

What did we all suggest moving forward?

-Consider timing and scheduling of extra- curricular events

- Greater opportunity to receive feedback on student social and emotional            well-being.

The Leadership Team, in collaboration with the Parents and Friends Executive will now review the recommendations and strategically plan a path forward.
