PJ DAY - FAITH IN ACTION for ST VINCENT DE PAUL UNANDERRA CHAPTER

A big thank you to our wonderful parent volunteers who will assist in making and distributing our hot chocolates and donuts as part of our PJ DAY supporting the good works of St Vincent de Paul Society. We are very happy to share that we will be donating $1300 to the SVDP Unanderra Chapter from the donations collected across our school.

Thank you also to Mrs Kelly McCrohon (Karli's Mum) for bringing the Vinnies Van onsite for students to learn all about how the van supports the homeless community of the Illawarra. Staff will be providing Kelly with a special collection of items to support the van throughout the winter season.

Students are also going to engage in a learning experience within their classroom outlining how they can make small changes to their own choices to support those less fortunate than themselves. This would be a great social justice discussion opportunity to continue with your child.

Sacrament of Confirmation 2024

On Tuesday 11th of June and Thursday 13th June the 2024 Confirmation ceremonies were held at both Immaculate Conception and St. Therese parishes. Under the guidance of Father Duane, our candidates experienced beautiful and memorable sacramental celebrations.

During these ceremonies, our candidates were led through rites that mark an important milestone in their faith journey. Through the laying on of hands and the anointing with chrism oil, they received the gifts of the Holy Spirit, empowering them as full members of the Church.

As they embark on the next phase of their spiritual growth, we are reminded that the Holy Spirit will walk with them, guiding and inspiring them in their daily lives. Let us continue to support and encourage them in their commitment to living out their faith.

As a whole school community we would like to extend our congratulations to our newly Confirmed students and keep them in our prayers as they continue to grow in faith and knowledge.
