Dear Parents and Carers,
It is with mixed emotions that I write the last newsletter as Principal of St Pius X Unanderra. I have thoroughly enjoyed my eleven years at the school and will look back on the time with fond memories.
I wish to thank the entire community for their unwavering support of my leadership during this time. I have enjoyed the real sense of community we have built and have been so proud to witness our school thrive as an authentic and welcoming Catholic school.
I would like to particularly acknowledge:
Father Duane Fernadez and Sr Kerry Gardiner, who have been wonderful friends and mentors to me.
The amazing and talented staff who work tirelessly to ensure only the best for the children entrusted to them.
Our beautiful students, who make me smile each and every day and last but not least our extraordinary parent community, thank you!
I look forward to touching base with many of you at our Twilight Carols next Tuesday.
Yours Sincerely,
Pauline Chrostowski - Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,
As we come to the end of another wonderful school year, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all our families for their continued support and involvement in our school community. This year at St Pius X, we have together created many memorable moments. From the creative costumes and activities of our 2024 Book Week celebrations to our recent Family Fun Day, which, despite the rain, was a huge success in fostering a supportive and connected school community.
I would also like to take this opportunity in our final newsletter to bid farewell to Mrs. Chrostowski, who will be leaving us at the end of this year.
Mrs. Chrostowski's leadership, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the growth and wellbeing of every student has been a privilege to witness. Her warmth and the support she has shown me in my role as Assistant Principal has been deeply appreciated. I will miss her greatly and wish her all the best in her next adventure.
In addition, we say goodbye to Ms. Sartor. Ms. Sartor has played an integral role in nurturing the faith development of our students. Her passion for fostering a strong Catholic school community, along with her compassionate approach, has been truly inspiring. I am deeply grateful for her ongoing support, and I wish her every success in her future endeavors.
Finally, we extend our best wishes to the students and families who are also moving on—whether transitioning to high school or relocating elsewhere. We have loved watching you grow, and we know you will continue to shine in all your future endeavors. You will always be a part of the St Pius X family, and we hope you carry with you the values and friendships you've built here.
As we approach the Christmas break, I wish you all a joyful and peaceful holiday season. May it be a time of rest, reflection, and quality time spent together. I look forward to welcoming you back in the new year, ready for another year of growth, learning, and community. God bless, and have a safe, happy Christmas!
